YUM| Creole Alfredo

Every once in a while I come up with a recipe I just have to write down and share! This was birthed from a night where I forgot to thaw chicken or beef from the freezer. I had a little smoked sausage in the fridge and threw this together. It was inspired by a similar cajun pasta recipe I make often, but I changed it just enough to have created something new!

It was a hit with the whole family! Even Nora gobbled it up (its only a tiny bit spicy, especially if you’re slurping individual noodles like she did).


Creole Alfredo

|What You Need|

  • Smoked Sausage
  • Broccoli
  • Peppers (Bell or Sweet Mini)
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 8-ounces pasta
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

*I’ve linked the seasoning I used, but you could buy any kind of creole seasoning or even look up how to make your own! 


|What You Do|

One| Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.

Two| Saute broccoli and peppers in the butter until tender. Add sausage and continue cooking over medium-high heat for 5 minutes.

Three| Add cream and Creole seasoning; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer gently for 3-4 minutes or until mixture begins to thicken.

Four| Remove skillet from heat, stir in parmesan cheese. Add pasta to sauce and toss.
