As I gain more years of cooking under my belt, and I experiment with more dishes, I find myself creating my own recipes more often. I love to make dinner for my family, I truly enjoy the process. But I am not immune to the awful feeling of rushing around to get something half-way decent on the table. I love good food, that is also quick and simple. Recently, I came up with the easiest way to cook chicken in the skillet! Super simple, healthy, and can be easily changed up to get a new flavor!
|What You Need|
1/4 cup flour
1 tablespoon of your favorite dry seasoning*
thinly sliced boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons butter
|What You Do|
Sandwich chicken breasts between saran wrap and pound until thin. ( I use a wooden spoon cause I’m classy like that)
Mix flour and seasoning in a shallow dish. Moisten chicken lightly with water. Coat evenly with seasoned flour.
Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet on medium heat. Cook chicken 3 to 4 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Repeat with remaining chicken, adding additional butter if necessary.
It is seriously that simple. The end result is a crispy and flavorful chicken dish you can pair with all kinds of sides! Also great to cut up the leftovers and put on salads.
