Tuesday Letters

Bringing back an oldie but a goodie. Here are a few letters I’ve written today. To read some of my past letters you can click here, here, and here.

Dear Ivy,

Please quit being so darn cute! It makes it real hard to be mad when you are fussy or don’t want to sleep at night. Makes it hard. Not impossible. 😉

Dear Facebook Friends Sales People,

Please do not try and sell me your products by preying on my postpartum body. There really isn’t a tactful way to do it.  I’m aware that you are just trying to grow your business (and seriously, go you!), but I am not going to join your workout team or buy your magic shakes when you single me out because I just had a baby. I know I’m a little softer than I used to be, I don’t need to be reminded of that so you can make money.

Dear Mangoes,

Why did it take me so long to start buying you? I didn’t know what I was missing and now I am obsessed with your amazing flavor and texture. I am equally as obsessed with how Nora calls you “Bingos.”

Dear Summer,

I love you for many reasons. Sunshine, BBQ, sun dresses, bright nights, getting outside, swimming, tank tops, fresh fruit, and so much more. However you also bring with you stuff like insufferable heat, mosquitoes, flies, and sweat. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I love you. But I hate you. I love to hate you, and I hate to love you.

Dear Nora,

Please stay this age forever. You are so funny, imaginative, joyful, and everything you do is cute. Please always get excited to see me in the morning and after your naps. I just love you at this age right not. But you can lose the tantrums.

Dear Chocolate,

I love you. That’s all.

I totally understand that selling thing. There is a woman at church who does the Omni thing and she wants me to try it. With my postmenopausal body, I know so need to lose weight, but I refuse to starve myself and I can’t afford 300.00 a month.
Your Nora is so personable and cute!! Thank you for sharing your babies with us.
And I am not trying to sell you anything, but for mosquitoes, I have found the best is Avon’s Big Guard Expedition. Unscented, 8 hour lasting, no DEET, and can be used in babies as young as six months old. They even have a disappearing color kind. We keep it on the front porch and back deck and towelettes in the car. We have woods behind our house and walk in them and even don’t get ticks with the stuff in. We do not do summer without them. Just a recommendation if you don’t already have something.
I got the app for my phone camera. Thanks for the recommend!
