We celebrated Nora’s second birthday this past Saturday, on her actual birthday!
I enjoy putting together little parties. I like picking a theme, making everything look cute, planning a menu, and enlisting The Hubs to design invitations! We don’t go crazy, we just have family and close friends. However, we do want birthdays to feel special. After all, celebrating our child’s life is a BIG deal!
We went with a fiesta theme (I am soaking in the only years I get to pick the theme), and it turned out so cute! Minimal decor made it cheap and simple, but Nora sure thought it was cool!
You can’t go wrong with Mexican food or bright colors! We had tacos, chips and dip, cupcakes, cookies, and some delicious punch!
My sister in-law surprised Nora with a piñata, and she thought that was pretty stinkin’ cool! She got some great presents that she’s been playing with all week. But I think the highlight of the day for her was getting to play for hours with her cousins!
It was a great day, and you could tell Nora thought she was pretty special! Which is exactly how we wanted her to feel!
I did a terrible job of taking pictures, didn’t even get a single picture of our family. But here are the few I did get! A few sources listed at the bottom in case you’re interested!
