Here is Missouri sweet tea is a staple. We’re practically the south! I love a good sweet tea, but they are often too sweet for my taste. I also prefer flavored teas. So, I set out to make my own version. I think I finally perfected it, and wanted to share! The best part about this recipe is you can customize it so much. You can make the tea stronger by steeping it longer, you can make it sweeter by adding more sugar, and you can change up the flavors!
Happy sipping!
|What You Need|
8 cups boiling water
2 iced tea bags
1 cup hot water
1/4 sugar

Bring 8 cups of water to a rolling boil. As soon as the water is to a nice boil add two tea bags.
Remove from heat, let steep about 7-10 minutes depending on strength desire.
Meanwhile, warm 1 cup of water in the microwave and mix in sugar until dissolved.
Once the tea is strong enough, add sugar water, and flavoring.
Mix well, pour in pitcher and refrigerate until cold!
