I never in a million years would have thought I would sit here and be someone who is selling something online. Most people who do that annoy me because all they post about is that product and then their Facebook feed becomes obnoxious!

Well, here’s the deal! A friend approached me about trying some AdvoCare products and writing a review on my blog. She has sold AdvoCare for five years now and she is honestly one of the least obnoxious social media sellers I have ever met!  When she first asked me I was excited because, of course I will take free stuff to sample! But I just knew I would sample it, write the review, maybe buy some later if I liked it and that would be the end.

So, the package arrived promptly in the mail and inside was a sample of The Meal Replacement Shake and Spark. I was excited about both because I had the perfect use for both of them! I recently entered a weight loss competition and so I was excited to use the shake and I had parent-teacher conferences coming up and I knew I would need the boost of energy that Spark is meant to deliver!

I decided to try these both out on parent-teacher conference day. A day in which I have to be at school for 12 hours straight and talk to 24 sets of parents! I think it goes without saying that it is an incredibly long and taxing day.

I will be the first to admit that I was very skeptical about the shake because I do not normally like protein powders or other similar products because of the texture and the fake taste. Collin drinks protein after workouts and really likes it so he suggested I mix mine with milk and make sure it was really cold.  My friend suggested adding a little cinnamon and then it would taste like a cinnamon roll. I mixed it up, grabbed Nora and headed out the door, drinking it in the car!

Well, let me tell you she was right! It seriously tasted like I was drinking the frosting off the top of a cinnamon roll! I did have to get past the texture still, but once I got used to it, I really liked it! It really did keep me full and for a lot longer than my usual granola bar for breakfast! Plus, it really was filling me up with tons of great stuff! So far, the vanilla is all I have tried but they have chocolate peanut butter, chocolate, berry and chocolate mocha. I am excited to try them all because I did truly enjoy the vanilla!

I am one who normally rushes out the door with a granola bar, waffle or something else instant, un-filling and not so good for me. These shakes can really be a lifesaver because they are quick to make, good for me and filling!

Next was the Spark which I have actually tried before and I really liked the Watermelon flavor! I am not a huge Fruit Punch fan in general so I was skeptical about this one. I waited until 12:30 to start drinking it because my conferences began at 1:00 and I wanted to see if it kept me energized throughout.

img_6304Now I think my first mistake was that I put the powder into my water that already had ice in it. So when I mixed it up, it took a really long time to dissolve. In fact I took a sip before it was all mixed in and it was NOT good! I let it sit a little then came back and stirred again and it did finally dissolve. I don’t remember that being a problem when I tried it the first time so i think it was the ice that caused the issue. It was not bad by any means, but again I am not a huge Fruit Punch fan in any form.

I will say, I felt good all of conferences but I am not going to attribute it to Spark just yet. I want to be honest and say that since I have only tried it once I don’t know if it’s fair to say it is the reason I had energy. I have however been told by two other woman who use Spark that they think it really does work and replaces their caffeine for the day. I did feel energized, but was it Spark? Too soon to tell!

One thing I am particularly  impressed by is the AdvoCare culture. They are a Christian company that is founded on some amazing principles. Below are their 10 Guiding Principles listed on their website.

Guiding Principles

  1. Honor God through our faith, family and friends.
  2. Respect and strengthen the family.
  3. Believe in the dignity and the importance of the individual.
  4. Create a standard of excellence recognized as superior by the direct sales industry.
  5. Believe that honor, integrity and principles are the foundation of a great life and company.
  6. Commit to mutual loyalty and trust between AdvoCare and its Distributors.
  7. Establish and continually improve the vehicle of opportunity and the pursuit of financial freedom for all AdvoCare Distributors.
  8. Commit to ongoing personal growth and development through professional training and educational programs.
  9. Build self-esteem by promoting a sense of personal worth among all people.
  10. Continually expand our market by providing the most effective and highest quality products and service available.

Not many companies these days are founded on God and conduct their business with Godly standards. Because of the integrity of the company and what they stand for, Collin and I wanted to support their cause by using and selling their products.

So, long story short Collin and I are now AdvoCare distributors! Does this mean my blog and social media will be full of AdvoCare posts? Heck no! I promise to be the least obnoxious seller ever! In fact, I hope that anyone interested will contact me rather than me having to do too much reaching out myself. I do respect and admire this company and it is a great financial opportunity for our family so I am going to pursue it as much as I can. But, my blog is so much more than that and I know how weighed down with selling Facebook and Instagram can get. So I am going to put the purchasing information down below one time, you can contact me today, later or never!
